Y’all know me, the retailer, and you know there is a winemaker who produces the wine…but betwixt us is a whole system of distribution that is so, so important! These are the importers, distributors and sales people who work behind the scenes to make sure we have the bottles that we want, the information that we need and the wine gears stay well-oiled all year ‘round.

Alex, of Cavatappi, is one of my guardian angels who juggles orders, procures fulfillments and has a ton of information about each of the producers and the thousands of wines that pass through their warehouse every year. Today I hand my wine key, and bank account, over to Alex to select ANY of her favorite wines from the Cavatappi portfolio to taste!!

No rules, just Alex’s picks - maybe we’ll open some sleeper wines that have been quietly aging in the corner of the warehouse…I can’t emphasize enough how knowledgable Alex is regarding French wine, culture and language and we both loooove a beautiful bottle of grower Champagne, so…
