Some of you have come into the shop and seen the stark, modern, white labels of Milan Nestarec’s wines, with names like ‘Podfuck’ or ‘Gin Tonic’ and maybe wondered, what’s up with that? Others, who are familiar with these bottles, know what a deft hand Milan has in both the vineyard and winery, creating wines that are an extension of himself, his world views and a representation of his life of being immersed in wine - he is second generation winemaker and has been actively working the winery since he was sixteen. Located just south of Brno, Czech Republic, very near where Austria, Slovenia and CR meet, Milan grows on 27 hectares (67 acres) of family-owned land, organic since 2008.
