Shawn Mead, former owner and wine director of Vif and Petit Soif, is the O.G. of natural wine in Seattle - yes, you heard me, I called her a gansta. For eight years, along with her comrade Lauren Feldman, Shawn ran a stellar neighborhood wineshop and cafe just up the road - a portal to honest, delicious food and wine, camaraderie, education and community that is very missed.

Today I turn-over my wine key to Shawn for an in-shop tasting!! She will be pouring four Louis Dressner wines from her new distribution venture, Joyous Society. Shawn has been working in wine for over 25 years and I learn something new every time we talk.
